Nunavut Geothermal

Geothermal units are clean renewable forms of energy that help us to reduce our dependence on other forms of energy and reduce environmental impacts and climate change. Homeowners in virtually every part of Nunavut are enjoying a high level of comfort and significantly reducing their energy use today by heating and cooling their homes with geothermal heat pumps (GHPs).

Nunavut Case Study – No Gas Bills!

“ In 2008 our farm home burned to the ground. We lost everything, it was devastating. The cause was figured to be the furnace, an old oil/wood system that we had been planning on replacing. A couple of people in our area had geothermal and were very pleased with their systems. We researched what was available on the market, the units, the costs involved, the warranty, the service. January delivered several days of -35 degree Celsius weather. Our home stayed toasty warm all winter. We also had the added bonus of owning a green home and reducing our environmental footprint. We now feel we are part of the solution, not the problem. While building a new home we had hundreds of important decisions to make, installing a Geothermal system was our best decision by far."
