Alberta Geothermal

In Alberta there might be snow in the air and snow on the ground, and yet beneath the surface over one billion BTU's of renewable energy, enough to heat and cool your home each year at about half the cost of what the neighbors pay.

Using Geothermal Heating and Cooling in Alberta Canada

Geothermal is officially designated as a renewable energy by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). Earth energy technology is preferred because it is an environmentally and socially responsible technology, with no emissions or harmful components.

Geothermal is not only an environmentally friendly way to heat and cool in Alberta, it can also yield energy savings that are 25 – 40 per cent over conventional heating and cooling systems. The energy and cost savings will depend on the efficiency of your current system, geographic location in the province, cost of gas for your current system and cost of electricity for a heat pump system.
