Geothermal Heating & Cooling in New York

The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and the DOE (Department of Energy) concluded that geothermal heat pumps are the most environmentally friendly and cost-efficient way to heat and cool your home. Geothermal systems emit no carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, or other greenhouse gasses that can be harmful to the environment and your family. We know your first priority is to keep your home and family safe and comfortable - now you can do that as well as helping the environment with Geothermal systems - they are truly a natural green way of life.

For New York homeowners using the earth means not having to use as much electricity as with a traditional system to heat and cool your New York home. This reduces your operating costs and environmental footprint.

NY Geothermal Testimonials

Judith Coutinho from West Shokan says:
I inherited this house with a geothermal closed-loop system installed in 1992! My mother was an environmentalist before the word was coined. I\'m replacing the 18-year old unit with a new, more efficient one so I can heat/cool the house AND an addition. Sealing up the \'envelop\' will also increase efficiency since the house was built to 1972 standards. I wrestled with changing to a less costly installation, and it just doesn\'t make sense in the long-run. As a \'green\' family, geothermal heating and cooling is the best solution.

Seriously? It\'s a no brainer! My Energy bills are far lower than any of my neighbors with comparable size houses/families etc. Ask yourself why this is not the standard method of heating and cooling in America...Can anyone say \"Big Oil\"?

Maura Gregory from Mohegan Lake says:
When it came time to replace my heating system, I began looking into alternatives to oil heat. I had already looked into solar energy with the idea of replacing some or all of my electrical service and for heating hot water, and I was dismayed at the high cost and small return. Plus, I would have to cut down some trees! That seemed counterproductive. I\'m not against solar power at all, but it wouldn\'t work for me in the current state of the technology. I was venting about this to a housing contractor I knew, and he said I should check out geothermal, it might work for me. Boy was he ever right! I have a small house that already had vents for my oil fired forced air, so the house was perfect and the cost wasn\'t prohibitive, especially when the federal government pitched in for 30%. It\'s been almost 3 years since it was installed, and I find myself telling people about my system whenever I can. I keep my house warmer in winter, and cooler in summer than ever before (we never had central air conditioning before & it works great), and I still save money over what I used to pay for utilities! The system supplements our hot water heater so we no longer need propane, which is great because it was getting prohibitively expensive, and I worried that it was dangerous. We are more comfortable than we were before, and we know our carbon footprint has dropped like a stone. In the winters, I ask my friends \"what are you paying for oil now?\". And I think to my self \"there but fo

I was a little nervous about switching from oil to geothermal in 2010. I can now say it was one of the best decisions I have made for my home. Both the savings and the comfort are out standing.
